A Prayer for the Journey

 O Christ,

do not give me tasks equal to my powers,

but give me powers

equal to my tasks.

for

I want to be stretched by things too great for me.

I want to grow through the greatness of my tasks,

But 

I shall need your help for the growing.

I sincerely prayed this prayer 2 years ago and wrote it in my devotional journal... and oh my!! I had no idea what kind of ride I was in for!!! Life has never been the same again!

God has been good and He truly answered this quest of my heart even though I had no idea what I was asking for. He's been faithful and given me the help I have needed for these things too great for me. Yes, I've even said a few times, "I don't know if I have what it takes to do this!!"  The road to the taking on of the twins, and having the twins themselves, has been a stretching, growing, expanding experience for our whole family, but especially me.

One thing have I desired of the Lord, 

that will I seek after... Ps. 27:4
