SAD

I'm just really sad today. I can't go in Missy's room and see the horrible defiance and not start crying all over again. Yesterday I had a small victory with her in that she let me have her heart. It was through a lot of prayer and work. She came to see herself and asked forgiveness and prayed with me. She was very sweet and happy. Half way through the day she decided it was too much and she's once again grasping for control.

Steve says these kids don't know how to love. Control is their security.

I'm just really sad.

Please remember that these kids take time. Usually for a 6 year old it takes 2 - 5 YEARS for a strong attachment to develop. It is not a reflection of your parenting skills. Keep giving it your best, but give the outcome to God. Praying.

Oh friend I do understand....

Sometimes we get so overwhelmed and tired that we fail to see or remember the progress that has been made. Yesterday you had her heart for a brief period of time and that's better than what it was the day before, so that is most definitely progress. Each teeny, tiny step is a step towards hope, healing and TOTAL RESTORATION!!

Praying for you today and big, big hugs!
Lisa
