sometimes it is the reward that causes the regression itself, they reward makes them feel good which triggers them into feeling bad which cuases them to do soemthing to get in trouble so they can feel worthless again. It is a sort convuluted problem but it is very real. One of the things that we do when we praise Calvin now is qualify it by telling him that this praise/reward does not mean that now he needs to feel bad and misbehave and that it is ok to feel good, in fact we should be able to feel good when we make good choices. Good luck today.

In my crazy world... I have a child who "pees" her anger out... I have since given her permission to "pee" her pants and she has not done it since :) Of course I did make her wear pull ups so that if she chose to ... only she had to deal with it :) Givng her my okay certainly took the fun out of it... ha ha.. reverse psychology does work... although I don't want to spend my life doing it! Good luck!
