Paperbag Floor

I'm up to my elbows in Elmers glue and torn up paper bags.

I saw this on pinterest and I'm hoping it's a solution to my floor problem. I have hated the flooring in here since I moved in 10 years ago. We can't really afford to replace it. . . .

Rather than rip up the flooring and find that it isn't going to work for me, I started on the shelves in the pantry. Here's a sneak peek. The lighting at the back of the closet makes it appear that the coloring is uneven, but that is not the case.

What do you think?

I can stain it different shades if I prefer it darker.

This is where I get my instructions: {Joyfolie}

I was looking at this too and I have laminate flooring in my house that is all warped and separating. The only flooring in my house that I like is in the entry way and it hold up beautifully under the sand and dirt from the shoes but I can't afford more for the rest of the house. How would this flooring hold up? I'm afraid it would wear out. Let me know how it goes and what you think. I thought about ripping out the carpet in my room and trying it there.

How smooth is it? Would it be easy to sweep and to wash?

I'd like to try it. Thinking it would work nice for our stairs. The carpet is coming apart, due to dogs getting anxious when we were away, so what did they do... pull strings of the carpet out and create huge runs... Dogs belong outside. ;p I think I'm going to wait until summer when most the girls are gone and traffic on the stairs will be minimal until it hardens.
