Whoo-Hoo!! {A Manipulation-Less School Day!}

It is the first school day of its kind with little Miss Moo.

She sat at the desk and I folded clothes beside her and she did about 6 pages of different activities without resorting to one single, solitary mind-game!

Are we winning, or what?

. YES!!

SO HAPPY!

James was at his school, so that meant no competition. She loves playing with the neighbor children and she knows cooperation and happy attitudes go a long ways towards allowing that to happen. Even with the limited play time with those kiddos, she is starting to sound just like them. They speak with an interesting slow accent - but so does her little friend at church, so she is starting to sound like that. She did not show up to breakfast, mind you... and she turned up her nose at the smoothie I offered her, however, she is very chatty which shows her brain is in good form.

Remember a year ago when I used to write down the number of words she could string together? We were happy when she could put 5 words together, soon it became 8, and now, here is a sample of today's conversation:

"The other day Caleb and Jacob didn't make their beds before breakfast. (LOL Interesting topic, and what does she know??!) Aunty Julie was getting ready for Sabbath and cleaning her house, but the boys were doing school. I want to go to their house and visit them. It's a looooong ways to Whitehorse. It takes two days to get there. When we flew in a airplane to Alaska we went right passed their place! I want to go there and see them."

So there you have it. Maybe her potential is greater than I have recently begun to accept.

Yippee!!

Please pray for Delaney. I haven't posted about it on my blog because I don't know what to say really. But we desperately need prayers.
