Went to court. As I thought, mom was sitting alone .... sat with her for 30 minutes while the round table discussion happened behind closed doors. Then I waited for 10 minutes in the waiting room while she was called in.
I was called in and told I was needed. Mom was crying tears of happiness. She got the good news. Everyone was on board... she told me later that my written statement regarding Buddy changed the CASA's mind. We hugged!!
It was the same judge that we had for our adoption.
I was asked to speak. I kept it short. I couldn't keep the emotion out of my voice. I told them I was very proud of the parents for working so hard for their children's sake.
It was brought out in the hearing that we have a fabulous working relationship between me and the mom. The judge told the mom to ask for help if she needed it, that all parents have problems and not to hide them. I know she will seek help. In fact, I'm babysitting today haha!!... (Counseling appointments, etc...)
Going to do the laundry and pack some baby clothes today.
IF you prayed for us at anytime in the last 10 months I thank you from the bottom of my heart. This has been a real experience for us from start to finish. It's not really over, it's just beginning a new phase. One based on friendship and the love of two kids.
Blessings!

This is wonderful. I will continue to pray for both families. Crying tears of happiness. God Bless. "Isabella"
That is so good to hear! It's always so nice when the families work hard to bring their kiddos home. And being able to be a big part of bringing them back together is so rewarding. Bittersweet goodbyes are always the best. Praying for all of you!
I haven't been following your blog long enough to be considered a lurker, but I don't think I have commented before. I am covered with happy goosebumps right now after reading this post! Congratulations to you, and congratulations to the parents! This is how it is supposed to work. I am thrilled, and I thank the Lord that the babies can go home. I wish I had advice for you on Missy's pinching, but I don't. Just know that you're in my prayers.

So glad you were able to forge a relationship with this family. Prayers that this continues to have a happy ending. They are blessed to have you as a support to them as they embark on this new chapter of their lives. God bless you in your continued ministry as foster parents.
Praise God! Crying right now. Need your prayers for the lady and two little girls I'm dealing with. The mother here is a good mother but in hysterics over her husband and the abuse and neglect she has dealt with. Could seriously use your prayers here too, for another miracle of Love from God!
Yay! So happy for you all! We were so worried at the beginning thinking it might never happen but miracles still happen. Now we pray that they will learn to lean hard on the Lord during the trials and challenges they will surely face in the future and that they will know they can reach out and be honest about their hard times and find people they can pray with and who can lend a helping hand - and i know just such people! ;) Love, A.
Exciting news! Happiness for all today. Hope your relationship between the two families continues to grow!
