Back to the Old Grind

We arrived home at 10PM and I was sad to see apricots littering the ground...
but I need not have worried.
We picked them before breakfast and managed to get 20 jars of jam and 80 quarts
of apricots from the one tree.

These apricots are the best!

But that wasn't the end.
We went and picked Benny's apricots and canned another 50 quarts
and today we are still canning and  I don't know what the count is.
Forty are for Julie to take to the Yukon.

Apricots are our favorite - and even if they weren't...
with this many kids, who'd turn up their nose at free food?

So, today mom and Julie took care of the tomatoes that the kids picked from the garden while I went to pick up our peaches.  We're about to get started on them - all 200lbs of them.
Mom is feeling better, by the way, though not 100% however, you wouldn't know it by her work habits.
She's slaving away at the canning process.
Missy has had two major tantrums since coming home.
Tonight the VBS that Vanessa is in charge of starts, but Missy will be missing the first night.
If she can pull herself together, she'll get to go tomorrow.

So much hard work. Diligence is abounding around there.
