Discouraged

Ugh!!!!!!!!

So sent James out to do his chores before breakfast as always. He came back and said he had done them. On further questioning found out he did NOT give either rabbit fresh water. He said there was no water in the hose, which might be true as our water does that, but he was just NOT going to figure out a solution to the problem or tell anyone that there was no water. I sent him out again to use the hose at the barn. He came back trying to get water out of the house. When I asked why he wasn't at the barn, he said there was no water there, either which is not true. He wasn't thinking through how to turn it on down there. Sent him back.

If there is the least inconvenience he just WON'T do the job.

Discipline, punishment, whatever, it makes NO difference. He just won't do it right or all the way.

He's out there now, but sure shootin - when the girls go check on his work it's more than 90% likely he did not give them food, either.

Do I have to be mom today?

I just want to cry. We've been doing this since July 5th. He knows what to do. He can do it. He just won't.He's even wet his pants over it this morning because he was mad I sent him back. He just says, "I DON'T WANT TO".

And that's the bottom line.

Since the girls are home he wants the girls to take care of the rabbits and come to think of it, he hasn't done the rabbits right since they got home. He doesn't want to and he's willing to make a fight of it every. single. day.

****

When Christina checked, the one bunny was not taken care of at all.

I am so sorry.

There have been mornings that I wake up anxious at just the thought of parenting a certain child.

Remember that He who called you is faithful.

Praying,
Summer

Not a good day here either :(

I have at times linked taking care of the animals to the ability to eat and drink. The animals can not fend for themselves and around here without water they will die. Will skipping a meal or no water for him for several hours work?

Wondering if he feels like he hasn't been getting as much attention as Missy since he's been being good? I have no doubt whatsoever that he is getting attention, but I think sometimes kids from hard places feel that they need negative attention. Sorry, it has to be so frustrating. Praying for you.
