Hike 1

Round Trip 8.4 miles with an elevation gain of 2200ft. This water is ICY COLD! Great Hike. We made it up to the top in 2.5 hours.... a record for us. I sprained my ankle there and so, today I am not going hiking and the kids have embarked on a bigger hike of 18 miles round trip. I figure they don't want to carry me out....

The twins are amazing hikers, by the way. I can remember doing this hike when the girls were younger and it taking 4 or more hours. We did backpack up there, too. One time it hailed huge stones on us. We hid in a cleft of a rock and waited out the storm. We only had awesome sunny weather yesterday.
