James did fine at Respite. He stayed with a family that we know well. They are foster parents and have adopted. They have fostered hard kids, too.... so, they knew not to make this a fabulous fun time away from his family. The dad actually had planned to take his boys to the water slides and he went ahead with his plans but James had to stay with the mom and the little kids. They would have handled any outbursts just fine but I did not expect any.
It could be the beginning of puberty, but then again... we've dealt with a lot from the kid for 5 years, so nothing really too new.
