Court tomorrow.
I have become more and more uncomfortable with DSHS's handling of this case. I think the babies will not be going anywhere and nothing is going to change much. Which is fine... except that mother has done everything they told her to do and more, but they keep changing the rules. There is some untruths being fed the Social Worker that are making things very difficult. Also, I don't think it is the Social Worker's place to diagnose a parent (based on here-say) with a mental disorder and then say that she won't allow the mother to have her children back until she is on medication. That is SO WRONG! She is neither qualified to diagnose, nor to force a person into medication. She set up an Psych eval and then this same SW plans to attend the appointment.... Like, WAIT a second! There is something really weird about that. Thankfully that is ringing some alarm bells in some heads and I don't believe she will be allowed to do that. To top that off, the reputation of some of the psychologists here is really negative and we aren't sure which is which.
I just want truth to be known. I want justice; for the kids and for their mom. I pray that the judge will make the right decision.

Interesting blog. Are you a foster mother? Will be back.
UGH! What a hot mess! What does the kiddos' GAL have to say about all of this? It all sounds more than a little hinky to me, like a certain social worker has gotten a little too big for her britches.
Prayers 4 them~and 4 u.
After many many months of being intimidated by social services and then dealing with things being twisted we all decided to go on the offensive. Every conversation was audio taped, whether it was with the children or with the adults. We made this form that the social worker had to sign every time they came to see the children. It gave them an opportunity to write concerns, for the parents to write concerns, for future meetings to be verified, and basically anything else that had to do with the case to be in print so mis-communication was eliminated.. This way when it was dated and signed they couldn't go back and change the facts. Unfortunately these people get power crazy and they think they can control everything that has to do with their case. They become blinded by there own perspective whether it is good or bad. I suggest you find ways to go on the offensive.
As far as the psych evals, both my SNL and my daughter had to do them. My daughter refused to do it with the first person she was scheduled to do it with because she told him she didn't trust him. They scheduled it with the person she said she was willing to talk to. Fortunately, by this time in the case social services realized they were not dealing with their average case and they were a little confused about how to handle things. When my daughter went to the meeting to review her eval , all they could say against her was that they thought she had an unrealistic view of her childhood because no one is that satisfied with their childhood. Those were personal opinions not the result of the evaluation. They ask so many bizarre questions in various ways there is no way to trick the test. She said there were many questions that were double negatives to confuse the way you answer. I will continue to pray for your family. They are in a serious situation when the social worker starts running the case based on her own agenda.
Oh yea, and about the GAL. Ours did nothing to protect our children. My daughter's lawyer is going through the motions to file petitions for a suit against her. It was shameful how she neglected what was going on with those poor children.
Unfortunately this is generally the norm in the foster care world.
Praying He will intervene.
Yes we are foster parents. And adoptive parents. And biological parents...;-)
