....as my dad would say.
He's off the Germany airline strike or no.
Jason is returning home in Africa today. Mom is coming home with us.
It's a challenge to add 5 kids to the gang considering they have been gone a month or three. The 5 include our three girls, Caleb and Natalie. The suburban is loaded to the gills with luggage - roof racks and all. Dad is giving us his little car so that makes room for the extra bodies.
The twins have done exceptionally well considering there have been late nights and tons of excitement and stimulation. Missy started to crack yesterday - but it was totally understandable since she was in a bodily function crisis. Poor kid!! Today she's feeling much better. It's hard to keep the routine that she absolutely needs when traveling.
So it's probably best not to introduce your kiddos as the little ones we adopted, but that's easier said than done when you end up at a big convention where the people you run into remember you only had three kids and now you have 5??? The twins take it in stride. I don't have a problem with explaining, I just wonder what the effect is on the kids when that scenario is repeated 35 times a day.
We'll be home in Tuesday.
